The footsteps from above only continued to get louder and louder. It seemed more and more people were congregating, but for what exact reasons, the two would have no exact idea. The three aliens outside would peak their heads in, curious, then stare in wonder as they witnessed the entire room begin to glow.
The window for execution of whatever they were planning was getting smaller.

"Alright, this might sound unorthodox but I need you to trust me. We already sealed off an exit with the rubble from last explosion, but it created a diversion by setting the rest of the prisoners free. The next group of aliens is standing right above us, and setting this room on fire will in turn collapse the floor, leading them to their potential demise. If we aren't careless, we can climb out. We've already destroyed the prison, and in my opinion, tending to that is a much higher priority than chasing around a few kids, don't you agree?"
Hopefully he understood what she was going for. The biggest risk was suffocation, however they'd be practically invisible from alien eyesight if they stood in the smoke.

Rowan nodded, transferring the energy from the entire room to just the ceiling once he got everything done. The crumbling ceiling and walls could, potentially, give them a way up while still dealing with the threats above. With everything charged up, he moved and placed enough charge in the gigantic iron door outside to begin to lift it telekinetically. Groaning, Rowan signaled to the aliens inside to come into the room. "You and these three... are gonna have to hide under here... and then I'll... p-pull the trigger," he said, straining.
Once they were all hidden under the door, Rowan would make the ceiling explode. If any of the guards were still conscious after that, they'd find a gigantic metal object flying toward their heads.

The three would move as Rowan instructed, currently seeing him as their savior and thus seeing no reason to disobey. They looked confused when they door hovered over them and huddled together, hugging one another. Then, the ceiling would break apart as Rowan willed it, and not so peacefully. It all exploded violently, the screams of the guards almost inaudible over the sounds of the room collapsing around them. Parts of the ceiling would form to make a sort of ramp, and enough collapsed that the entrance to the room was blocked off. Though a few guards attempted to get up, they would find the giant metal object decimating them before they could do so.
Unfortunately, after all this, Rowan would be quite worn out.

Ducking beneath the door, Sylvye covered her ears (and ensured the same of the alien child) as the room caved in around them. Once the coast was clear, she darted for the ramp that had spawned for them, tugging Rowan along with her in case he was in danger of collapsing as well. "Great execution," She praised, "You're losing points for not including a punchline though." She smiled at him, then turned to the alien family as if they would understand.
Once they were on solid ground, she would immediately resume her search for an exit. They were bound to be close to one now.

With a groan, Rowan would angle the iron door so that the two would be able to climb and make their way out of the room through the now nonexistent ceiling, before turning and allowing his back to fall against it. "Th... that was n-nothin'," he said, chest heaving. He'd give them all a thumbs up, though, and then move back to the series of guns he found. While most were likely in tatters, he'd set some aside for everyone, and would hand a pair off to Harthe first, then all the rest. After that, and once he'd finally regained his strength, Rowan would attempt to climb up the door and onto the next floor. If he could manage this, he'd reach down to help the others.

The guns, it seems, were not damaged, and everyone took their pairs skeptically. It seemed they didn't like firearms like this, but they understood what it was going to take to get out of here. So, without a word, they donned their weapons.
Rowan was able to successfully maneuver well enough to get up to the next floor, even if it took quite some time with his fatigue. The three prisoners would wait for Vye to go up first, before they began to follow themselves. One by one, they would all make their way up, and finally, Rowan could potentially have some breathing room.
The new room they were in was a small one, with almost nothing inside that wasn't already burnt to cinders or charred to a crisp. There was one window on the wall that they could get through once Rowan had more energy, potentially, if they were willing to try that route - though there was also a door in front of them they could take. There were currently no enemies to worry about, as all of them nearby were either gravely wounded or dead.

Sylvye took her pair of guns with excitement. Though they weren't her M9, they would suffice. She often surprised many with her precision and grace with firearms. It didn't seem she'd be able to use them this time, though, but it was nice to feel the handle of a gun again.
"Both of these exits are free," She declared, "But if you must take a moment to rest, now is the time." She glanced over towards Rowan, then examined their new alien friends. "I am grateful for my comrade. He has a pure heart, and that's a stretch to say for most." She knew they wouldn't understand her, but the praise was recognizable universally.
With that, she closed her eyes and backed against the window, taking a breathe of fresh air.

Rowan placed his back against the wall with the barred window, panting heavily as he did so. Slowly, he slid along it until his ass hit what remained of the ground, and his hands formed closed fists that softly beat against the ground next to him. Eyes shut, sweat beaded down the sides of his head and kept his hair wet and sticking to his face. In what rags he had, it became more apparent just how bad of shape he was in, but still he kept trying to fight on.
"J-just a sec..." he said slowly, only smiling when he heard Harthe's comments about him. "We're all... g-getting out of here... once I recharge..."
The beating of Rowan's fists against the ground sped up as he gathered more and more kinetic energy into his body, and slowly, he'd be able to stand. He knew he wasn't going to be able to wait until he was at his peak, as guards would arrive at any second, and these people needed to get to safety. So, soon as he could stand, Rowan put his hands to the bars. Instead taking the whole wall down, he'd just get rid of the bars by breaking the threshold for the window, and they'd all be able to climb out.
"Once these bars come out... we gotta be quick. No knowing what's out there. Stay behind me and you'll be safe, but until I get my energy back, you'll need to keep those guns at the ready. Got it?" Rowan looked back, grinning with confidence, toward Harthe. Once she gave him a confirmation, he'd light the threshold up, and pop it right out with enough light explosions to take it clean out. Not skipping a bit, he'd hop through the new hole, and help the others out as well. The entire time, he'd survey his surroundings, hoping they didn't just walk into some sort of a trap.

The three prisoners smiled at Sylvye as she spoke to them, not knowing what she was speaking but understanding what it was she was doing. The child beamed brightly, approaching her and bowing his head. "Enyuutuuwu lenteeoshaa na naa!" he bowed his head once more, then hugged the smaller woman. Then, Rowan spoke, and he backed away, still smiling.
The window would be broken apart with ease, and after Rowan made his way out, the rest would follow easily. Now standing on stone, the five would be able to feel flowing air on their skin - perhaps something quite welcome after an indeterminate time spent in that environment. Alarms were blaring in the facility, but no guards could be found in their vicinity. The only guards they would see were running away from their location and rounding the corner, likely looking to head inside and address the situation. Down the way was the single visible exit from the facility, and it seemed like there might not be a better window to get through than right here and now.

Sylvye would simply follow the others until they reached their destination. They seemed to be in the clear for the time being, though if the need arose, she had fingers itching to pull triggers. With her eyes on the exit gate, she signaled for the others to follow her, disregarding Rowan's instructions. Though it was true the safest thing to do was follow him, she sensed no immediate danger and decided to take her chances. It was unlikely they were still being pursed, what with the destruction of their base and all, so if Rowan wanted her to stay put he would have to restrain her.

Rowan groaned and immediately sighed, as Harthe made her way to the front. Even if they were in a better situation than predicted, it was still reckless, but arguing about it was going to get nothing done. He followed after her, still keeping the family at his back as intended. If everything went well, he was going to look for the fastest way out and out of sight as soon as they were clear of the facility's walls.
