Faceclaim: Boku no Hero, Ochako Uraraka
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Occupation: Waitress
Weight and Height: 5'0, 90 lbs
Appearance
At first glance, Loie is very average. Her features are cute and doll-like but not particularly exquisite, and her light brown hair is cut into a bob with two longer locks in the front. She has large brown eyes that betray her every thought, and she has a petite yet curvy build. People have described her as plain, but cute, the cuteness being due to her enthusiastic personality rather than her looks.
Loie typically dresses in light colors, favoring shorts and skater skirts, and she can often be seen wearing a fanny pack. She has a tattoo on her back that says “Roses For No One” in very small letters just below a picture of a skeletal hand allowing roses to slip between its fingers. The tattoo is so small that it’s barely visible unless you stand close to her, and it’s usually covered by her clothing. She intentionally takes care to hide the tattoo since it doesn’t seem characteristic of her to have a tattoo for most people she meets. Loie has a few scars here and there, but her more noticeable ones are around her wrists and ankles. Her ankles are usually covered by boots or socks, but she uses makeup or bracelets to hide the discoloration on her wrists.
Persona
Background
Born Eloise Primus, Loie’s early years were fairly normal. Her family was extremely poor and struggled to support her and her younger brother, so she spent every day feeling like a burden. In turn, the girl developed a strong work ethic with the intention of one day allowing her family to live in luxury. She did well in school and gave all her money from her part time job to her parents in spite of their protests, and did her best to help take care of her brother whenever she could. Loie is a very positive and kind hearted person. She does her best to live for other people even if it doesn’t come naturally and constantly works to beat down her own selfish thoughts, reminding herself to put others above herself. She loves to see the best in people, but is mature enough to still recognize their flaws. However, she doesn’t let that drive her away from people. She’s very determined to befriend everyone and doesn’t usually give up until it’s absolutely necessary. In spite of Loie’s seemingly sheltered and prude background, she’s very accepting of people with different life styles than hers. However, she still recognizes evil and shies away from it.
Many people who first come across Loie see her as naive, bubbly, and ditzy. In spite of this, she’s very perceptive and knowing and understanding a lot more than she lets on. While she can be very timid and sensitive, she’s surprisingly independent in many areas of her life and takes good care of herself. She can also be quite blunt without realizing it. Due to living in poverty most of her life, it takes very little to make her excited or happy. She’s also extremely emotive and her reactions can seem rather exaggerated.
Some find it hard to relate to Loie at first because she seems like a goody two shoes, but everyone has a side they’d rather not let people see.
Loie avoids conflict and fights as much as possible and usually attempts to protect and defuse situations more than anything else. However, when the timing’s right and someone pushes the right buttons, a different side of Loie emerges. When pushed past her breaking point, one of two things could happen. She could have an emotional break down, which is quite common for her, or she could go berserk. In the case of the latter, Loie can be surprisingly ruthless and calculating which comes as a bit of a shock to people who’ve only seen her cheery side. The extent of what she’s willing to do in this state expands with her experience. Initially, she might just get a little hotheaded. How she might change in the future remains to be seen.
Background
Some unfortunate happenings took place regarding her family and they were pulled apart. For a while, she and her brother were on the run. This lasted for some time before the two were kidnapped and forced into work at a factory. At that point, her goal was to escape their situation and get to the bottom of the murder that pulled her family apart.
Many other things took place between then and her arrival at the Astraeus Institute, but she doesn’t talk about them. Loie was initially taken by force and had to leave her brother behind, but while she still craves freedom, she acknowledges she’s in a much better situation than before. She only wishes her brother were with her, and that her father knew they were both alive.
Skills and Weaknesses
Skills:
Kind: It's hard to say if this is a skill, but Loie's kindness has helped her out of many tough situations simply because people feel the need to do her a good turn since she helped them before.
Strategic: While she comes across a bit air-headed it, Loie is actually quite intelligent and likes to think out her actions before hand, making sure to take the best plan of action.
Medical Knowledge: Loie has quite a bit of medical knowledge and knows quite a bit about first aid.
Weaknesses:
Weak: Does she even lift, bro? No she doesn't.
Pacifist: This is a weakness in the sense that she often refuses to fight back and allows herself to be beaten down.
Emotional: Loie cries a lot and can't really handle harsh words.
Gifts
-Celestial-
Loie's abilities are mix of angelic and outer space elements, that coupled with her sweet demeanor has earned her the nickname Halo to some at the Astraeus Institute.
Seraph Form:
Loie takes on an angelic appearance by causing a blade and wings to manifest. Both are made of pure light energy. The wings don’t give Loie the ability to fly, but they can both be extended directly out to her sides to attack, each one reaching about five feet. They cannot be used to shield because they’re intangible so any opponents that reach out to touch them go right through them, they only affect people during an attack. The wing’s movement is limited to only be extended directly out to the sides, and can be used to attack or propel herself several feet in any direction. The blade is simply a three foot sword with no special properties other than it has the appearance of being made of light and it can be summoned and put away at will.
Firmament:
Loie can touch someone or something and cause it to float as if it were lost in outer space. For objects, she can cause about 1 ton of matter to float at once (about half the weight of an average car) as long as she’s directly and intentionally touched it. However, the longer they stay suspended the sicker she gets. Causing her maximum capacity of weight to float (which she rarely does) for a whole minute will bring vomiting and nausea and till five minutes causes blacking out. She’s been known to stay unconscious between 12-24 hours after mistakes like this. With people, she can only cause one to go into zero gravity at a time regardless of their weight. As soon as she attacks them they return to normal, or if she leaves them they can stay suspended for up to a minute. She can only cause them to float if she intentionally touches them, receiving an attack doesn’t count. People who are floating find getting from place to place difficult, and attacks lose quite a bit of force since weight not longer matters, much like trying to punch or kick someone under water.
