We have a few simple, straightforward rules to follow here on The Starbound Initiative. While it's all common sense, it's good to list these things as guidelines for how the members should behave. Once you make a character, it will be assumed that you have read the rules, and so breaking them consistently will result in increasing levels of punishments.

1. Respect everyone. You don't have to like everyone, and there's a good chance you won't, but respect is something we all deserve here. Treat others how you want to be treated.

2. Do not disrespect Staff. These people are not paid for what they do. We do our best to provide a good, solid community for the writers who come here, so please remember this and treat us with dignity.

3. Respect the atmosphere. Writing is something we all do as a hobby. It should be something that is stress free. We want to create a friendly, chill environment for everyone who comes through our doors. Anyone who makes an active or continued effort to sabotage that will be immediately removed from the site.

4. Do not metagame. This is using OoC knowledge IC.

5. No grief play. Separate OoC and IC - we are not our characters and vice versa.

6. No power play/god modding. No controlling other characters or assuming your character is all-powerful.

7. No gary stu/mary sue. No one is perfect. No one.

8. Don't be a dick.
