Name: Nimue Lockwood (Pronounced Nim-way)
Nickname: Nim
Alias: Froggy
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Occupation: Professional Water Drinker
Weight and Height: 130 lbs 4'11
Appearance
Nim is very short and is surprisingly heavy for her height due to being very muscled. While she's not bulky, her muscles are visibly toned while a maintaining a curvy girlish figure. Her hair is a deep sea green and reaches all the way past her waist. She typically styles it by tying the end into a bow. Nim has large eyes with pure black irises that appear green or blue-ish in some lights, and they often have a very empty look to them. Nim also has a rather wide mouth that gives her a frog like look. While she has a prehensile tongue, she's capable of making it appear normal. However, she occasionally forgets and it partially hangs out of her mouth.
Persona
Nim often has a vacant look in her eyes and can end up staring into space for ours. This leads those who don't know her better to assume she's dumb or there's not much going on up there, but she's actually quite intelligent in spite of how she may appear. Academics, problem solving, and strategy-wise at least. Socially is a different story. Nim is very blunt and typically says whatever she thinks unless she knows it'll get her in trouble. Even then, sometimes she doesn't stop herself. She's not afraid to call people out on their bullshit, but it's always in a straightforward non-hostile way.
Nim has a very difficult time trusting people due to a childhood full of abuse and neglect, and doesn't like physical touch unless she initiates it. Her background has also given her very low self-esteem. Not in the sense that Nim continually beats herself up, she's just internalized all of the negative things said about her in her early years. Nim was continually told that she was gross and that she'd never find a romantic partner or even real friends that'll stick around for longer than a few months. She was told that she's going nowhere in life, and that she's a burden on everyone around her. While it sometimes gets her down, she's learned to take it in stride and simply accepts it as the facts.
Nim's not a push-over by any means and can be very stubborn when the time comes to it, but she's also very cooperative. If someone asks her to do something for them and it's not to her detriment, she'll do it. This stems from a deep-rooted feeling of wanting to be needed. In spite of the many personal issues she deals with, Nim doesn't often let herself be moved by emotion and prefers to act on whatever is logical at the moment. If logic isn't needed in the situation, then whatever is the most fun. She typically has a vacant stare on her face whether she's happy, angry, or sad, so it's hard to tell what she's thinking most of the time.
Nim can be slightly clingy, and tends to follow around people who've given her some kind of hint that they enjoy or need her presence. While she wishes to have a lot of friends, she's not very good socially and has an odd sense of humor. This leads her to isolate herself from time to time, where she sits in the same spot staring straight ahead for hours. Fun fact: Nim also tends to say "ribbit" when she isn't sure what else to say.
Background
Nimue Lockwood was the name given to her by her adoptive parents who named her after The Lady of the Lake from arthurian legend. Her birthparents and birth name are currently unknown, though people have tried to figure it out due to abnormal physiology. Whether she's a lab experiment or some weird alien race--no one knows. Nim's adoptive parents Ranae and Titus Lockwood were the kind of parents any young girl would want. Ranae was a kind and nurturing mother who doted on her daughter constantly, and she also had a very close relationship with her father. Titus loved to take his daughter on trips, especially to see lakes and oceans where she seemed to thrive. They schooled her at home to shelter her from how wicked other children could be at times, and Titus, being a professor at a local university, taught her well.
One summer the family decided to take a vacation where they rode on a ferry out to an island. On their way back home, the ferry went down. Some passengers were able to escape on lifeboats but Nim and her family didn't make it to one. She attempted to rescue her parents but was knocked unconscious by blunt force to her head. She woke up on the seashore and the reality of her situation set in. First and foremost, she hated herself for not saving her parents, and secondly, she knew she'd never find people that accepted her like they did. From there, she was determined to make a beautiful life for herself because she knew no one else would.
After attempting to live on her own for a while, Nim eventually became a ward of the state. She went through several foster families but they all treated her like a freak of nature. She was continually put down or misused because of her differences, and after every instance she ran away only to be taken back again and given to another family that she knew wouldn't love her. The cycle was eventually broken when she was kidnapped by human traffickers who used her oddities as a selling point, and things only went downhill from there. After falling into the hands of a buyer who tried to take her life in a fit of frustration, Nim discovered her condition gave her special abilities and not just an odd look. She never intended it to happen, but the person died. Shortly after she escaped, she was relocated to the Astraeus Institue. While she's still not in a loving environment, it's leagues better than what she was subjected to for many years of her life, and she's become pretty well adjusted to it.
Skills and Weaknesses
Skills:
Perceptive: Nim notices things about people and objects, and she's a pretty good problem solver.
Strong: Nim's got them muscles.
Marine Biology: It's hard to say where this is useful currently, but she knows a lot about it having studied it as a hobby for years.
Drinking Water: She's really good at it.
Weaknesses:
Socially Awkward: Not in the sense that she can't talk to people--she definitely does that. But she has trouble relating to people and making friends.
Self-destructive: Due to a low sense of self-worth, Nim makes bad choices without thinking too much about the repercussions.
Frog Needs: This can be a number of things, but a major one is her need for water. She drinks a ridiculous amount of it and submerges her self several times a day to keep from drying out. If she gets dehydrated enough she can pass out or possibly die.
Slow: Self-explanatory.

Gifts
Frog Physiology: Nim doesn't just look like a frog--she also has some of the abilities of one. With powerful legs for jumping, a love of water, and even a prehensile tongue, she's pretty much a human frog and it weirds some people out. Frog Form: This entails most things frogs are able to do, not all of them useful in combat. The main combative uses would be her enhanced leap, wall crawling and poison generation. The first two are pretty straightforward, but in the case of poison she can secrete a sticky poison that has acidic properties from her hands and feet. Her prehensile tongue may be used in combat, if it is it's a massive weakness of hers. It's sensitive to all elements and since it stretches so long (20 meters max) it's easy to grab ahold of to harm her. In turn she avoids using it for combat.
Non combat uses include being able to eject/wash out her stomach if she ate something gross (which she does a lot), aquatic adaption/speed swimming, and hibernation in which she can reduce herself to a state where she slows her heart rate, breathing, and metabolism enough to the point where she appears dead. Oh, she also gets along with frogs really well.
Enhanced Strength: Nim's extremely muscled, especially since she can leap large distances. Buffs strength by one grade.
