Even with everything that had happened since the initiative's landing on Andyr, Holly still found herself lounging about in her office most days, aside from the occasional hunt, which she mostly just used as an excuse to flirt with everyone unfortunate enough to get paired with her. Other than that, though, she was pretty dumbfounded when it came to their new home. So, the girl decided to go on a solo expedition and visit one of the territories parallel to Terra Novus. There was another world outside their territory! Her wide, purple eyes scanned everything thoroughly as she walked down a rocky path. Granted, she was paying more attention to her surroundings than the road ahead of her, and it was highly likely she was simply lost in thought, her head soaring in the clouds ever so freely...
The sudden loss of her footing was very quick to snap her back into reality. The candy nurse found herself sliding down a hill, and she frantically grasped for anything to keep her from falling down further. Of course, the situation was worse in her head than it actually was. What she saw a mountainside was simply a slope leading into a small crater. Shaking her head, Holly crawled out of the discount ditch, coughing up the dust she had kicked up in her panic.

Brisk winds blew across the thick vegetation sprung from the fertile lands of Natynsmyht causing nimble flowers to dance with the lightest kiss upon their blue petals. Looming below one of the mighty hills that jutted from the rocky earth coursed a lonesome river that had craved its way through the dense crust over the millennial. Where in it's youth it held a terrible torrent age had grown the snake-like body of water in size and wisdom. No longer did its weight pull way ward travelers into it's depths but now lapped at the banks with the softest touch that a lover would have. Stocked with the freshest fish, blooming bushes, rolling hills of green and crystal blue heavens above it was truly one of the most tranquil scenes that this world had to offer. Much like every other good thing the serenity and calmness of the waters would soon be shattered by an outside force.
Resting some distance from the waters edge sat the huddled form of Ava. Captured in the shadow of a towering tree she worked quietly in the peaceful spot she'd discovered. With the exterior panel of her leg exposed to the outside world Ava's hands moved among the wires and fine mechanical parts which made up the artificial limb. Much like her own flesh these limbs needed to be properly maintained, however unlike their plushy counter parts simple exercise, diet or bandaging could not fix them.
Taking a steel coated wrench from where it had been resting in her lap Ava pushed it into the metal casing of her leg. Finding purchase on one of the many bolts which held the limb together she twisted the tool towards her. Rewarded with a soft metallic squeak and greater resistance Ava repeated the process till the bolt was as tight as it needed to be. Gently removing the tool it quickly vanished from sight as it was reabsorbed into her mechanical arm for later use. Critically she examined her handy work with a ponderous expression. It had become a habit of hers to completely field strip her limbs when working on them but out here the idea of loosing a bolt or something vital for proper functions made her shrug the idea away.
"Whenever I get back to town... where ever that might be." Shutting the casing with a soft click Ava's eyes gazed up and away from the bank side.
Normally it would have been easy enough to pull up a navigation system and find herself to the closets city, something she had clearly taken for granted. On this world it appeared that a global positioning system was just fantasy. Ava hadn't so much as pick up a signal bar on her phone let alone any internet; this place was a back water. A beautiful, untouched back water but a back water none the less. Now having spent a few weeks traveling between villages that dotted the land Ava was forced to travel by word of mouth, getting directions from the locales who were more or less... hill people to put it nicely. Large cities just weren't a common site this far into the boondocks where colonies were just staring to pop up.
Sighing to herself Ava pushed a stray strand of hair from her face. As she was doing this a sudden surge of movement in the corner of her eye caught her attention. Turning her head in the direction of the commotion she watched as a trail of dust fluttered down a nearby hill. After rolling some feet the dust began to settle before being carried away by another rolling breeze. Again Ava found herself sighing. For the last hour she'd enjoyed having this little piece of heaven all to herself and now it was disturbed. Mentally defeated Ava was slow to to rise as she set out to climb the nearby embankment.
Climbing the rich clay deposited embankment took but a few hops before she found herself on solid, grassy footing once again. Glancing towards the direction which she'd seen the pillar dust Ava quickly spotted the lone figure that was climbing from a crater Ava herself had nearly fallen into when she arrived. It seems that the area favored that little depression in the earth as it tried to trap the occasional wanderer.
"Hmm... they seem fine...." Ava pondered, her eyes fixated on the strangers form. While part of Ava wished to leave the person to their own devices she also needed directions towards the nearest village if in fact their was one nearby. Regretting the idea as soon as it was planted in her mind Ava slowly made her way up to the slope to investigate further.
