Hikari wouldn't typically be found outside her room unless she was training or had a mission to attend to, but on the rare days she decided to give herself off, the ninja preferred to be outside. Trying not to draw too much attention to herself, she could be found examining several different plants with a notebook in one hand and a pencil in the other. She had consulted with some of the natives to figure out which plants were toxic to them, and which ones that they used for either medicinal or to eat. While out on the field, it was important to know which plants could save your life or end anothers. But, this time it was for something much simpler. "Hmmm. This one could make good tea, judging by the general consensus of the natives." Hikari picked the plant, carefully placing it in a pouch that she had attached to her hip. She'd have to be careful with the stuff, while it wasn't toxic to the natives, nothing is saying that it won't be to her. The purple-haired girl crouches down, taking in the sights for a while. It certainly was more beautiful here than it was on earth.

It was a rare occurrence that Holly left her office, seeing as how it was always flooded with people paranoid about Andyr foods and the like. Today, though, nobody had shown up, leaving her bored and puzzled on what to do with her day. Then it hit here - she hadn't even explored Terra Novus yet. With all the excitement of the gatherings and festivities, she had almost forgotten they were on another planet. Nothing had really changed about HQ, which meant there was only one place she could go: Outside.
Now, Holly wasn't a plant enthusiast, but the large patch of foreign herbs, fruit, and shrubbery caught her eye as soon as she stepped out the door. She hardly paid any attention to plant life on Earth, but this scene was something she couldn't possibly walk away from.
The purple haired girl carefully tread through the garden, pondering all the different uses for the botany as she swiveled her head back and forth. Perhaps she could use some of the ingredients to make new candy? Hmm.
Her short attention span was suddenly ripped away from her as she noticed another person nearby. Another curious person with nothing to do? Or an actual plant enthusiast? She peered around a bush to get a look at the suspect and --
Oh. It was her.

Hikari spotted the nurse as soon as she had poked her head around the bush, making eye contact with her. She blinked a few times before opening her mouth to speak, "Holly? Didn't expect to see you around here." Brushing some of her hair back, Hikari stood up from her crouched position after grabbing her notebook and pencil, "Although I suppose it does make sense to see a doctor around here." Something about this girl really threw her off, but it seemed like Holly could be a fun person to hang around.
"...You are a doctor, right?" She spoke sort of hesitantly, she hadn't really seen her since the hunt and remembering characteristics wasn't her strong suit.

Holly's heart stopped as soon as she was spotted. To make matters worse, they had made eye contact. Flustered, she hid behind the bush, pretending like she had disappeared into the shrubbery. As Hikari spoke, she slowly peered back out with wide, hypnotic eyes. The way Hikari asked about her occupation made her actually question whether she was a doctor or not, so she would simply stare at her for a second, obviously embarrassed.
"Um..." She would sound, mustering the strength to gather her thoughts. "Yes! Yes, I am a doctor. Doctor Holly, that's me..." She chuckled, stepping out from the bush entirely. She normally referred to herself as a nurse, so that's probably what threw her off. But she was, in fact, a doctor.
"And you're hot right - I mean, um, a ninja!!" She stammered, losing the courage she had built up to unveil herself. So, she slunk behind the bush again.
Holly was not good at this.

Hikari raised an eyebrow at Hollys weird behavior, did she do something wrong? She felt like she had been fairly normal about the exchange. Sighing, Hikari took a few steps toward the bush, "Are you alright? Also yeah, a weird ninja but... Still a ninja." She took a seat on the other side of the bush, figuring it had something to do with first encounters?
She facepalmed and ran her hand down her face, she had to get better at socializing if she was going to live on this damn rock. Removing her hand from her face, she places both of them in her lap, "I like your hair, looks nice." Hikari simply stared at the sky as she said this, it would be no good if she continued to be nervous about this stuff.

Fortunately, Hikari seemed to be pretty oblivious, or at the very least as uncomfortable as Holly was. After a moment of silence she revealed herself once more, falling onto her knees to mimic the ninja's posture. She'd simply nod in response to Hikari's question, but it didn't seem like she was paying her any attention anyway.
She was in the middle of forming another thought, but was interrupted by the compliment about her hair. Even if Hikari wasn't actually looking at it, and was just trying to make conversation, it effected Holly all the same. An awkward laugh would escape her lips as if in disbelief.
"I like um... your... um..." She tried to carefully manage her words, but she couldn't find any to say other than random flirting nobody would be comfortable hearing. Finally, she'd take a deep breath.
"I'm sorry, I'm not good with, er, people... hehe..." She hung her head down, wishing she knew what to say.

Hikari laughs briefly, shaking her head, "It's alright, i'm terrible with people too. I hardly have the luxury to socialize with anyone." She removes a small knife from her belt and a square piece of wood and begins carving it bit by bit, "But hey, ever since joining the Initiative i've had a lot more opportunities to do so and I feel like i'm getting better at it. I'm sure you can too." She speaks rather softly, a look of content on her face, "How long have you been around? I was barely picked up before this whole space mission happened."

Holly would adjust her body to a more comfortable posture as she listened to Hikari talk. Now that they were actually talking, it didn't seem so bad... all Holly had to do was not embarrass herself and she'd be fine. Probably.
"I've been around for a few years." She responded, scratching her head nervously as she took a glance at Hikari's woodworks. "Just never ventured outside my office much!" She beamed, smiling briefly, before returning her gaze to the ground.
"All this talk of going to space... I never actually believed they'd pull it off... yet, here we are." She clicked her heels together, pondering the next thing she should say.
"Oh, do you like candy? It's, you know, kind of my thing, hehe..."
