Faceclaim: Tower of God, Twenty-Fifth Baam
Age: Nineteen
Gender: Male
Weight and Height: 5'6", 132 lbs
Appearance: Among his Tribe, Ji-ho sticks out like a sore thumb. This is due to the fact he's completely uncharacteristic of the other Tribe members, who are known for their familiar looking features due to their strict policies on conception. Brown hair, amber eyes - it's not unthinkable to believe that he's from somewhere else in Ayndr such as the Empire. In complete contrast to his stoic and quiet personality, Ji-ho has quite the baby face too. This is a feature that's often covered by his hair or unique clothing, as he isn't fond of it due to his rough upbringing that involved both the alienation, and isolation of him due to the sins of his father.

Occupation: World Guide, temporary ambassador to the Initiative.
Personality: Calm, quiet and collected is the first impression many people have of Ji-ho. This is the result him climbing the tower of trials and being instructed by the Elders, which both strengthened him and simultaneously stripped him of his individuality he had in his early years. Indeed, rather than live for himself; his role was something that was determined at birth: to be a World Guide for the travelers that were fated to come to Ayndr. In reality, Ji-ho is still very much the caring person he always was; he simply smothered it in order to complete his duty within the Tribe.
Knowing a great deal about your world is very different than experiencing it, however. Ji-ho is very curious about the unknown; recklessly so, and has also taken a great interest in the technological wonders that the Initiative had brought along with them. This sense of adventure and inquisitive nature is what often leads him into other peoples business, and as quiet as he might normally be that hasn't ever stopped him from getting involved with things. This is because he has no problems taking the initiative, which is perhaps most prominent in his actions in regards to those he cares about.
Such people are far and few in between. Ji-ho was always an outcast within his tribe, so friends and family were a luxury he never truly had. This has made the young man rather desperate to a degree, and he often goes above and beyond the call of friendship for other people; even when they don't necessarily reciprocate the same feelings. Able and always willing to jump into the fire for these important people, it's a dangerous level of commitment - and this desperation makes him rather unpredictable at emotional points.
Background: The Lost Tribe; an incredibly reclusive group of undiscovered people native to Ayndr with a monopoly over the mysterious, powerful substance known to most in the form of 'mantles' and other tools of great and versatile power. The exact location of them seems to always be shifting and changing over time, with no one truly knowing the origin of the people other than the fact they've always been gatekeepers to the material that threatens the balance of power. Tales are traded almost anywhere about them, how they test the heroes of old and then grant them power beyond imagination. Such tales are often blown out of proportion; of course, grandiose fairy tales to help the children feel safe at night.. Well, if only because not everyone is lucky enough to meet them.
Ji-ho is one such inhabitant of the lost tribe, though of much lower standing than any other. Born to a native of the tribe who had procreated with a foreigner from outside their domain, Ji-ho was considered a taboo child and was treated very strictly as a result. He was isolated from the rest of the children; as his blood was tainted and the Elders believed he would be the child to bring catastrophe not only to the lost tribe, but to Ayndr itself. Why didn't they simply kill him, you ask? This is in thanks to one of their many prophecies- one that was as old as time, as far as they were aware:
One day, foreigners would come to their world. Not ones from the Empire, or the Resistance; or even from the many undiscovered tribes that still remained- No, these foreigners would come from another world entirely. The outcome of their arrival was undetermined, but the lost tribe wasn't one to fall behind any of the other powers in the world. Instead, they believed that these people would need a Guide. A World Guide that would assist them in whatever it was they did before returning, if they returned, to ensure that they could monitor, intervene or even accept these strange people without opposing them directly. Ji-ho was selected to be the World Guide, not only because of his undeniable aptitude for the task, but because it was the easiest way to kick him out while still keeping him as their puppet.
Thus, his ascent began. Afraid, alone and unsure of his future; Ji-ho was thrown into the infamous Tower of Trials that reached far, far deep underground in order to prove himself worthy for the task. Each floor was a new challenge, a new task that was more dangerous the further down he went. It took much blood sweat and tears for him to successfully reach the end point, and upon arrival he was greeted with an amazing new power - the power of the World Guide, which allowed him to easily return to the surface much to the Elders dismay. In truth, many of them hoped for his death; as the challenges set before him were unreasonably hard. Then he became isolated once more, only to be let loose when, at last, the foreigners arrived.
Skills and Weaknesses:
+ Due to the hardships Ji-ho has faced, his body is in incredible condition. Fast and durable, he's trained in multiple martial arts originating from Ayndr and forged his skills in the fires of his numerous Trials over the years. It's not strange to see people avoid him within his Tribe as a result of his abrupt metamorphosis into the World Guide, a station of near mythological status within his tribe due to the nature of its existence.
+ Ji-ho is almost unrivaled in his knowledge of Ayndr, as a World Guide. Whether it be important figures, the various factions or even details about the many creatures that inhabit the world he almost always seems to have an answer - to the point where some people imply that he might have clairvoyant capabilities, even if its clearly not the case. He simply was forced to consume this vast amount of knowledge in order to fulfill his role as the Guide, and his natural intellect simply makes it very convincing.
- Ji-ho is bad with technology. Literally the worst, unable to handle things even some toddlers would be able to use properly. The foreign concept certainly interests him, but he's sooner to break whatever marvel of technology that he's fawning over rather than use it appropriately.
- While he certainly has no problem on his own, Ji-ho is dependent on the people around him. Who is he, what is he supposed to do; what should he do, these are all things he's always looked to others for answers to. Whether this be the Elders, or foreigners from the Initiative; Ji-ho has a tendency to lean on other people far too much for his own good, and will often put himself in danger to save such people.
Gifts:
Foreign Affection [Primary] Level 1
It is said within his tribe that Foreigners are people who wield power from outside human boundaries - with abilities that can be beyond human comprehension, and Ji-ho has inherited this Gift from his parents. Half-lost Half Foreigner, Ji-ho has the ability to manipulate Entropy. Similar in ways to other energy based manipulation Gifts, Ji-ho is instead restricted to using the 'unused' energy in the world around him. Aside from the added bonus of being able to detect how much energy something has, Ji-ho can then manipulate the present Entropy using that information to cause a change in a system. Increasing the amount of entropy lowers the amount of Kinetic energy something has, while decreasing the entropy raises the Kinetic energy.
At Level 1, Ji-ho has grasped the concepts that make it possible to solidify and use Entropy in the form of versatile attacks. It can be used to coat himself to aid melee attacks, or condensed and 'shot' like a bullet that attempts to disintegrate, or decay it's target.
No matter what application of his Gift he's using, Ji-ho is required to concentrate. Excessive fatigue and strain causes his power to become unstable, and strong emotional discharges can cause it to run out of control in rare circumstances.
Zero to One-hundred, Real Quick [Level 1]
Ji-ho's secondary Gift allows him to accelerate in a given direction without the need of a physical force. While he appears to move without any outside force, his directional movement is actually fueled by stored kinetic energy. He can do this from simply moving around during combat, with varying degrees of speed depending on how much energy he accumulates. At level one, it has two stages: After two rounds of storing energy, Ji-hos Agility increases by one tier. After four rounds, it increases his Agility by two tiers for the same time spent charging.
World Guides Eyes [Tertiary]
As ominous and grandiose as it sounds, this tertiary ability simply buffs Ji-hos Perception by one tier.
Red Right [Standard Mantle]
Received during his final trial, Red Right takes the form of a red jewel that grows exponentially when it's user is threatened. It's a curious variation on "Perfect Guard", focused on defending against single, strong attacks - meaning that while it cannot defend against a multitude of attacks at once all that well, it has the ability to cover one attack at a time for Ji-ho to negate damage. Unlike other types that have taken literal forms of armor or shields, Red Right defends him by employing a 'field' around him. When something is determined to be dangerous by Red Right and invades this zone, this ordinarily invisible field materializes and attempts to defend (and devour) the offensive move.
