★ Charlotte Lewis ★
Played by: Xubo
Faceclaim: RWBY, Yang Xiao Long
Age:
19
Gender: Female
Weight and Height:
6'1"/174lb
Appearance:
Standing at 6'1" and weighing in at 174 pounds with fair skin, flowing blonde hair and piercing lilac eyes, Charlotte is a hefty load of woman, to say the least. Most people have described her as 'hot but scary', 'just downright terrifying' and 'looks like she can punch someone's lights out'. Her build is athletic as H E C K, which also means that she's T H I C C all over. It's all muscle, though.
Fuck yeah.
She doesn't really have a fixed wardrobe, just clothes she kind of...pulls out of places in her room, whenever she needs them. It's all part of her 'order in chaos' principle. Usually, though, they're generally well-fitting and utilitarian attire suitable for close-combat, for obvious reasons, in a range of loud, warm colours. When asked, her reply to what her preferred aesthetic is will always be 'literally on fire'.
Occupation:
Professional Troublemaker/Charon Squad Member
Personality:
Hotblooded, hotheaded, just plain hot - that's Charlotte Lewis. She's a bouncing, punch-happy ball of choleric energy and aggression, always loud and boisterously proclaiming her readiness to take on the world in a no-holds-barred punch-out, even if she knows she can't win. Because, as she says herself, every day: "Never tell me the odds!"...despite knowing that isn't actually her quote to make. What her own, proper quotes actually are, though, is either "I'm the greatest!" or "Oh, yeah? Make me!". As you can see, very, very competitive and very, very rebellious.
Don't worry, if you think that's bad, she gets worse in an actual fight. The longer a fight drags on, the more exponentially aggressive she gets, especially if the odds are, ironically, not in her favour. The harder it is to beat someone into a bloody pulp, the less confident Charlotte is in herself, and the less confident Charlotte is in herself, the harder she tries to cover it up by injecting more over-the-top, false self-confidence into the conflict. Belittling the enemy, arrogantly calling her attacks and eventually just screaming incoherently...yeah, she's quite the piece of work to fight.
One would almost think she had some sort of...superiority/inferiority complex.
Background:
[Something something yeah she does have a complex and a big one]
Skills and Weaknesses:
+ Optimistic against odds
+ Outgoing and sociable
+ Loyal to benefactors
+ Occasionally inspiring
+ Straightforward and honest
- Violent and sadistic
- Impulsive and hotheaded
- Major anger issues
- Prideful and overly competitive
- Not too bright
Gifts:
PRIMARY: FURY DETONATION LV.1
Charlotte's primary Gift enables her to harness the constant burning aggression within her, gather the energy, and expel said fury through localised explosions as melee attacks. Said explosions expel kinetic force and small flames outwards in a cone from the blast direction with extremely destructive force.
Said explosions occur whenever some part of her fists make a violent impact on an object, be it organic or inorganic, and Charlotte is aggressive enough to activate her Gift...which is almost all the time. That being said, a glaring weakness of the Gift is that it's strictly a melee-only power, and won't work if she cannot actually hit her target. This, of course, makes the ability absolutely useless against targets out of her range or able to evade her attacks easily.
Another drawback is also, naturally, the uncontrollable nature of the explosions caused. Though most of the time Charlotte is safe from her own attacks, since they explode outwards from her fists, her comrades can easily become collateral if they happen to be standing too close to the point of impact when the explosions occur. It's also to be noted that, more than once, Charlotte has nearly brought a building down on herself with this Gift. She is also unable to control the recoil or locale of his explosions, meaning that whenever she makes a successful attack, she will be pushed back a fair distance, which could result in some sticky situations.
LV. 1 - Explosions have the roughly power of a typical antipersonnel hand grenade.
SECONDARY: FLASH STEP LV.1
Charlotte's secondary gift allows her to, in times of need, put on extra burst of extreme speed, boosting off her heels with a trail of sparks at inhuman velocity before returning to her regular speed. It takes a fair bit of stamina to pull off though, and requires a while (three posts) to cool down from. It can be accurately compared to a video-game character's 'Dash' ability, allowing her to close a large distance almost instantaneously with two boosts to her Agility stat.
This also has the handy added effect of making any hits she lands while dashing more lethal, the boosted velocity adding to the force of both her punches and explosions. However, it's pretty hard to see where you're going when you're moving at the speed of a Formula One racing car, which lowers her Perception by one grade. She's getting better at knowing when to use this Gift, but has still run into a few walls (literally) in her time perfecting it.
LV. 1 - Boost AGI by 2 grades, lower PER by 1 grade for one post. 3 post cooldown.
