His mother, a rather young beauty who had been abandoned and shamed by her family, sought to end his short life. In her panic and distress, the woman threw him into the crystal ocean from a cliff high above the water. The fall would have killed any, and yet the newborn was graced by the stars that night.
The boy, in his innocence, had been sought by the spirit of a constellation that watched over the pair that fateful evening. Draco, a powerful dragon that in ancient text was thrown into the sky by a goddess, had chosen to inhabit the child and save him from the danger that lay below. While none could comprehend this phenomenon, Alec held vivid memory of the event inside of him. He held an anger for those of his kind, and with the guidance of the draconic spirit, the male was raised in solitude.
He built himself a grand home atop the same hill that was to end his days, finding work within the village below tending to animals. His ability as a veterinarian was admired by the people, and for some time they accepted him as their own. It was only a matter of time, however, before he was once more an outcast. He forced a facade of confidence over his personality, and with this most began to believe he had placed himself upon a pedestal because of his inner companion.
At the age of nineteen, Alec traveled to the town to purchase supplies for his upcoming meals. The man had not yet discovered his gift, and as a group came to persecute him, his power surged through the city and brought devastation to many of the businesses. This only worsened the treatment he received, and in an attempt to find a place of acceptance, he departed from the place he had created home.
His path would cross with a man who held appreciation for his gifts, their friendship igniting through the creation of an Institute for those like themselves. For time to come, he would tend to the animals that served their cause, the man still distant from those around him despite the change of pace.
