Personality: Caitlyn was a sweet girl. Always loving to help out where she could. Smart in mind, but weak in stature, she was the type of girl who would jump in to help anyone who needed a hand. To help those in need, selflessly, at the cost of her own life even. She would jump in the way of a devastating blast to keep her friends safe.

That was Caitlyn.

Something inside of Caitlyn snapped. Back then, she was exposed to something from a nightmare that seemed far too real to be just a dream. An due to this exposure, Caitlyn began to slowly lose it. Because of this, her body shifted. Her mind did too. She is still what she once was, but since the move to Australia, she's becoming less and less stable as time goes on. Her stutter has disappeared. And suddenly, she's been seen sneering more often. But she swears she doesn't remember doing it. Aside from that, there's one more thing, perhaps most unnerving. She's seeing a silver haired girl no one else can see, and she's been starting to have trouble telling the difference between them.

But Caitlyn is still smart. She's been searching for an answer to why she's losing her grip on herself. But she's afraid now to get connected to anyone else. And thus, put herself into isolation... until Astraeus came to get her. Now, forced to around other people, she's constantly in fear of herself.

Background: Caitlyn was born with two fathers. A biological mother giving her life, but two fathers all the same. As the years went on, she would grow to love them both just as much as any nuclear family. They would be there for her for years, and years to come. Until it came a time...

One of her dads ran into an accident at a construction site, and thus her gifts were shown to the world all at once at his funeral. Well, half of them. The light half. The Shine aspect. And wouldn't you know, revealing that gift alone put her into a school. Not a prestigious one, but a school all the same. What could she do? She went along with it.

So. Time moved by. The school taught her how to grow. But one night, a dream came to her. A dream that felt far too real to be just a dream. In the dream, she felt pain. She felt anger. She felt despair. And yet, all of these were only because she tossed her friend out of the way of a blast of darkness. She passed out soon after, waking up from the dream. It was just a nightmare though. That's what Caitlyn wanted to believe.

But over time, she had noticed that it got worse. She didn't notice it at first. But suddenly, a girl with silver hair kept appearing before her. Looking eerily similar to her. Looking as though she could slice or kill at a moment's notice. That, and Caitlyn felt urges to do things she never would have been dreamed to do. 'End him', and that's one of the tamer suggestions. Caitlyn began to put herself in isolation, attempting to find out what she could about this curse inside of her. But...

It wasn't long until Astraeus came to get her. She resisted. But soon gave in... worried that she may cause harm to someone there, she barely walks out of her dorm room.

SKILLS
☪ Smartypants - Caitlyn is smart. She's not the brightest shine of light, but she's definitely a contender, and prides herself on her ability to think. Her cognitive ability is, by far, one of her best aspects, and she knows it. She does have a tendency to show a bit of pride when answering questions, and she has an innate knowledge of trivia.

☪ Culinary Lady - Thanks to a past with two fathers who helped her cook, and an easy-bake oven that helped her as well, Caitlyn has learned how to work properly in a kitchen. Going as far as to make feasts for house guests when they've come, and even making an entire gingerbread house, with some lovely art to it. Sure, she's not a genius with food, but she knows how to make it look appealing. And taste good.

☪ Heart of Gold - The sweetest kind of girl. She has no intention of dimming that golden shimmer upon her heart. Everyone gets a smile from her, albeit these days a smile from a distance. She doesn't want to endanger those around her. And so, she locks herself away. Like a princess in a tower. The occasional leaving, but...


WEAKNESSES
☆ Prideful? - Two dads who tell you that you're special didn't quite help with Caitlyn's pride, and honestly, while she doesn't show it too much, it has come out recently. When she's right about something, or knows some trivia, she may give a huff, or even scoff these days, believing herself to be an intellectual. She is, but still, the fact that she gets slightly proud over it... is half-adorable. And half-concerning.

☆ Fear of Dark - Probably one of the worst aspects for Caitlyn is that whatever it is, the Shadow that keeps following her spawned of darkness. It gives her an inherent fear of the dark, though not in a childish manner. No, she just finds powers over darkness to terrify her. To the point where she's worried, if it hit her again, what might become of her. If she only started getting the murderous intent from the initial point... what will happen if it happens again?

☆ Murderous Intent - Within the maiden, a heart of gold. But an aura that seems off-putting. A dangerous air about her, that cane come out at any moment. The sweet loving girl is no more, and now there's a layer of fear. And makes it worse is that the fear is her's as well. She's afraid of the intent inside of her. Letting it out might break her.


Gifts:
Shadow: Caitlyn's true gift, unlocked by that fateful nightmarish night. Caitlyn's body was infested with the dark energy, truly unlocking her power. And as such, her real self, or what should be her real self, is constantly walking around, unable to be seen by anyone. Coaxing her to do bad, like the devil on her shoulder. The dark energy has manifested in this way, making her think awful, terrible thoughts, and slowly driving her to a point where she might not be able to return from

Shadow is, for all intents and purposes, the true form that Caitlyn's gifts take. If Shine is the good, Shadow is often considered the bad. The side of Caitlyn that is, essentially, the shadow that follows her. The dark thoughts, the id incarnated into the form of her reflection. The same, but different. The more she uses her light in Shine, the bigger the Shadow becomes. The Shadow is a madness that augments her own abilities at the cost of sanity. This augmentation is to her strength, but leaves her ability to take hits to nothing.

Shine: A gentle light within her, Caitlyn was born with power over a violet light that washes over someone, re-invigorating them with light. This closes wounds, and helps make a body feel better under the moonlight. However... the shine is not as bright as it used to be. Repeated use of the Shine has made it grow duller, or perhaps the rapid usage of her other gift that unlocked that day is pushing the light back. Now, it's less than a sun's light and more fitting for moonlight. Oddly fitting, and as such it isn't as strong as it used to be. She's able to use it on her hands, and shoots small blasts of light out to heal those around.
