Appearance: Tall, fair skinned; light blonde hair and bright blue eyes- Elias is the very personification of his Scandinavian roots. His hair is of medium length, falling around his head and framing his face and typically sharp expressions and his body type is that of an Ectomorph; being relatively fit but lean when it comes to his physique, a careful balance that he's been sure to maintain so that he doesn't gain too much weight or lose too much muscle. Despite the hellish training he's been through at the Institute, Elias typically has a friendly air about himself.

When it comes to fashion, Elias isn't entirely clueless. He enjoys being practical however, and will opt to wear the clothes that best fit the current situation rather than go out of his way to look particularly good just for the sake of vanity. His casual clothes are well taken care of, mainly since his appointment to Captain all of his old clothes that were worn and torn had been tossed out immediately. No matter what, it isn't surprising to see the young man with some kind of earthy features - quite literally. Dirt beneath his nails, or even a faint dusting of soil here and there; its very obvious that he spends most of his time outside.

Personality: Elias lives in a world that is both kind and, ironically, concrete. Despite how he might often look at a distance, he has a truly warm and kin heart- wanting to believe in the best of people no matter who they are or where they come from. He values such things as harmony and cooperation, and it's an understatement to say that the young man is a bit sensitive to other people's feelings. It's this desire to believe in the best that naturally led him to the position of captain, where he excels in using his consideration and awareness to bring out their abilities to their fullest.

Unbeknownst to the people around him, Elias has created an incredibly rich inner world for himself. Everything he is told about other people or things he cares about is carefully handled and stored away somewhere in his mind. Incredibly attentive and having a mind that can easily retain these things, it's not surprising for Elias to remember all the little things even years later- and accurate, at that. As long as it's important to him or his values, theres a good chance it's something he'll never let himself forget.

Just as the dirt on his hands would indicated, Elias is someone who does best by doing- not by reading or applying theory. This is partly resulted in his well-developed sense of function and aesthetic appeal. His room is nicely furnished and decorated with assortments of beautiful flowers, a personification of the care he feels towards other people. If you've got him as a friend, it's almost a certainty he's the one who picks the thoughtful stuff.

Aside from style and grace though, Elias more importantly has an extreme awareness over his feelings and the feelings of the ones around him. He doesn't typically express his own; keeping a majority of them inside unless he's particularly close with the other person. This causes problems when he bottles them up, which can result in him pinning such things on other people as unfair judgements that become difficult to remove.

Unsurprisingly, he typically hides any indication that he's read another persons feeling as well, only speaking on such matters when he feels like the individual really needs some help, in which he can certainly help other people become aware of their own feelings.

On the job and in daily life, Elia has a strong sense of responsibility. He takes them very seriously, having an incredibly difficult time telling someone "no" when asked to do something, even if he's already over-burdened at the time. In the event that he is, he isn't the type to express his difficulties to others due to his intense dislike for conflict of any kind, mixed with the selfless fact he often will put the needs of others over his own.

In quick summary: Elias is a warm, generous and dependable young man. There's times where he needs positive feedback from others- since in the face of criticism he becomes easily discouraged, easily getting caught up in a spiral thinking about all the worst possibilities that could happen. His training instilled a great deal of confidence in him, but he still harbors strong feelings of inadequacy when things don't go his way.

Elias was born in Scandinavia among a small community that lived on the outskirts of the regions main tourist areas. It was an area that they refused to leave even in the face of technological growth and economic expansion, keeping themselves secluded to their own ways of life as they had always done up until that point. Elias was no different, and was raised in a shamanistic style that was to teach him how important the Earth was to them. With these practices, they had called up supernatural forces for years in secret in order to survive. They called rain, they bloomed flowers out of reason; the things that his shamanic tribe had done were revered by the few tourists who had managed to see any of it.

Naturally, rumors spread like wildfire. Corporations trampled over everything, attempting to figure out their secrets as they jammed their feet through the metaphorical door.. while stomping all over the reality around them. Machines of war rolled down over the hills, and the beautiful valley was quickly covered in man-made warfare against mother earth. Elias was horrified, while the rest of his people were enraged. They believed that the humans were going to be the death of their god, and lashed out with their supernatural powers to push the evil, tainted men out from their territory.

Such simple magic had no chance against the technological advances of the common man; however, and the machines that had sawed and spilled trees evolved into ones that shot and split people. In unison, they mowed down the meager defenses that the small village had erected around themselves and the reeking smell of blood and oil filled the young child's nostrils as he hid.  It was an unfortunate accident that ended up being covered up by the large corporations that had been involved in the incident, with only one survivor that was kept off the record. Elias, the future heir, had powers far surpassing that of the rest of his family.

Slavery was what he had expected next, or some kind of sick government experiments; yet, it was quite the opposite. The young boy found himself shipped to a strange part of the planet he'd never heard of before, a place that he was informed was to be his new home. Elias didn't quite understand it, and spent a great deal of time grieving for his loss.. or, he would have had the Institute not been as harsh as it was. Years of training turned him from a timid, scared little boy into a dependable, handsome young man.

Returning from a mission that had held him up for a small period of time, Elias has returned eager to meet the new additions to the Institute.

Elias has always had a strong connection with the natural world around him allowing him to communicate, influence, manipulate and even control nature around him. At level one, this allows him to communicate with nature; control things like plants and small animals, and speed up the growth and decay of the former.

Weaknesses include requiring existing nature to be present to communicate and manipulate, being powerless in areas without plants or with infertile grounds; being incredibly susceptible to the elements and manipulating a great deal of things at once requiring intense concentration. Discipline and having control over his emotions is also critical to the process, often times resulting in catastrophic situations when he tries to use his primary gift while under the influence of strong, influencing emotions.
