★ Kamira Ju-Kim ★
"Kami"
(from STF)
Faceclaim: Konan (Naruto, Naruto Shippuden) -- Ju-Kim, Kamira
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Weight: 180 lbs (81.6466 km)
Height: 5’7”
Appearance: Kamira has short straight blue hair with greyish amber eyes. She’s not big on makeup but she wears a little bit of lavender eyeshadow with her outfit. Below her bottom lip and above her chin she has a single labret piercing.
Kamira’s eyelash makeup is a diagonal line at the bottom corners of her eyes. Her hair is always neat and she never messes it up if she doesn’t have to. She wears her very first origami flower in her hair, just like she did when she was a child.
The first thing you’ll notice about Kamira is her black cloak she was never seen out of that was decorated with bright red clouds. Even though no one ever saw her without her cloak on, she wore a navy blue robe with a big hemline on the front that exposed her arms, back and the lateral part of her breast and belly. Surrounding her navel was four more piercings, making her total piercings five.
On her right middle finger, she wore a ring she had made for her group and orange nail polish on all of her fingernails. Lastly Kamira wore blue pants that also functioned as her shoes, then along with that she usually wore white high heels with red and black on them.
Occupation: Wanderer/Cadet
Personality: Kamira Ju-Kim is smart, clever, thoughtful, and very level-headed. As a child she was a bright and cheerful person, but so many traumatizing events and constant war lead her to be a very serious person as an adult. Kamira believes that no one should give up on their goals, hopes or dreams. She the kind of person that would always be there to comfort you when you need it and would be the exact same person to betray you if her own beliefs got in the way of friendship.
Even though Kamira is a sort of a genius, that knowledge doesn’t carry over to her day to day way of thinking. Her logic is very fast paced and she doesn’t openly show empathy or sympathy often. She has a harsh weak spot for little children or anyone shorter than herself. She feels the need to help them and look after them.
When it comes to love, Kamira is completely unreadable. She has an unmovable will for anyone she has a crush on and only goes for people who have a strong will. In addition to a strong will, they also have to share her own goals for the future, which is “being a support for the bridge to peace”. Being the actual bridge to peace helps a lot too.
Background: In Seoul, Korea, the poorest district in the entire country, Kamira was born to a family nobody knew well. Her parents couldn’t take care of her because of the constant wars. Shells and bombs going off every few hours made it impossible to feed another besides themselves, so they sent her to an orphanage, where she was cared for until she turned three years old. After that, she felt pain every day. The caretakers and nurses in that poor orphanage was only concerned about keeping the children alive, so they could get their monthly check of 33,000 won (S. Korea currency) for being a good community asset. They abused Kamira for their money, $30.69 US dollars, because to them, each child was only worth a single dollar. Replaceable when deceased by ‘natural causes’.
To pass the time and cope with the abuse, Kamira spent her free time folding pieces of paper she found into origami. Her first origami was a complex paper rose, and after that rose came millions of other mini paper creations, from paper cranes, to crowns and flowers and even paper weapons. Her origami was often taken from her and destroyed, but she always managed to keep her paper rose, her first one, well hidden and safe from her tormentors. To keep it safe, with all her will she merged the paper flower into her hair. This was the first time she ever used her gifts.
Many years passed and Kamira put up with being an orphan until she was adopted by a few people with a much better lifestyle than the one present in the slums of Seoul. Jun and Chi Ju-Kim treated Kamira as their own and introduced her to the two others they adopted from the cruel orphanage. The gang of three got along perfectly, and the Ju-Kims treated each of them with kindness and love. Chi Ju-Kim, their adopted mother, eventually decided to train the three so they knew how to defend themselves.
Kamira put her favorite pastime hobby, origami, to good use. She intertwined origami into her fighting style and over time paper itself became apart of her and her everyday life. At age 11 Kamira met a strange animal that became stuck in a fence near her adopted father, Jun Ju Kims, farming field. Kamira instantly took a liking to the creature and learned how to make an animated paper copy of the animal so it would never truly die. Afterwards Kamira used her paper affinity for almost everything.
When she turned 13, the Ju-Kim household, as small was at was, was raided by nearby thieves and convicts from the war. During the raid, Jun and Chi Ju-Kim were killed. Kamira and her two siblings managed to sneak away and were found by nearby locals. Kamira was separated from the two friends she grew up with and was sent to a military camp far off in the east because of her known feared and strange talents. The locals thought separating the three would be their best chance at survival, and make them more harder to locate. In the camp, Kamira quickly adapted to the way of life around and started training at the age of 14, but never joined them because of her personal problems with war. Kamira instead practiced with others in secret and decided to wait on becoming apart of anything bigger than herself.
Kamira was finally eligible, way beyond eligible, when she turned 18 and spend a year training non-stop by herself, determined to rise above everyone at the very beginning. When she was 21 and after a few visits home, she was tired of being reminded of her own past and decided to dedicate herself to helping others receive the education, safety, and knowledge of using gifts for her goal. Kamira’s sole goal is complete world peace by any means necessary. Even if it means just creating peace somewhere else in the universe.
Kamira Ju-Kim started her own group dedicated to helping with gift abnormalities in the world that she keeps secret from all she’s able. Four years later her group is spread thin (she's the only member now) and Kami has recently joined the Astraeus Institute. She thinks it's a great way to reach her goals and maybe become a better... or worse person in the process.
Skills and Weaknesses
<s> Extremely intelligent Kamira is very smart for her age. She knows and speaks five different languages fluently: English, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish. Kami knows every other language but not as fluently. She is also really good at remembering names.
<s> Patient
When it comes to waiting for something to happen, no one is as patient as Kamira. She could wait for hours just for someone to fall into her trap, or even days for someone to arrive.
<s> Undying loyalty
Kamira is a very loyal person. She’ll quietly stand beside her friends, peers, and anyone who she trusts until the end and silently help them in their beliefs, she’ll even gladly give her life for their cause… until she decides what they’re doing goes against her own goal for peace.
<w> Fragile
Kamira isn’t the most durable person in the world. She is just as sturdy as your typical average person because of the childhood scars, abuse, and her affinity for paper and origami.
<w> Hellbent/Determined
Kamira cares about her one goal, and that comes above almost anything else. Even if it means the end of someone or something else. Now an adult, she could care less who died, as long as the death wasn’t in vain. She’ll also act this way with her close friend’s goals and desires, going to the ends of the earth to help them fulfill it.
<w> Unforgiving
Kamira Ju-Kim doesn’t like giving second chances. Throughout her life, she wasn’t given a second chance at anything, so why should she give others a chance to do what they should have done to begin with? This way of thinking makes Kamira a little hypocritical at times and also relentless in fights.
Gifts:
Paper Affinity - Primary Gift
(aka Origami Mastery)
Kamira can control and manipulate paper to do whatever she wants it to. She can make paper throwing stars or long paper needles or even paper shields. Kami's paper is as strong as she is and as sharp as a katana. Kamira's favorite attack is an origami tornado, a small wall of paper that surrounds her enemies, cutting them then blowing up. Kami's body and clothes is made of paper, so if she gets wet, she has to dry off to use her gifts, and she is able to create paper by using the ones from her body. (aka Origami Mastery)
Paper Person of God - Secondary Gift
Kami can create a living paper clone of herself that she can control at any time. This clone has her memories and can use her gifts excluding this one, (she can't make endless clones by making the clones use Paper Person of God). Kami can make a clone anywhere (a maximum of one clone) and switch places with it. These clones last until Kami destroys them or they're destroyed (their endurance is grade D).Statistics: strength A/S ... agility B/A ... endurance C(D) ... perception B/C
