Appearance: Long, strawberry blonde hair, tied up typically behind her, and asymmetrical on her right side longer than shoulder length, while the left is much shorter, as evidenced below. Her hair is often tied behind her in a ponytail. Her icy blue gaze is made more so by the hue of her eyes being blue. Her body is sturdily built. While her clothes are more frilly than average when she's out on a mission, when she's in the comfort of her own room, where it's 40 degrees year long typically, she usually wears summer clothes.

Occupation: Captain, Heiress to Noir Fortune

Personality: Many words can describe the maiden of ice, but a few usually stick out. Cold. Being the heiress to her family fortune, she was risen to be a proper lady, but to be closed off to many. To embrace the ice gift within her, passed down from her mother, her mother, and her mother before, in order for it to be strongest. This does not mean she's a closed off individual, though when people do try to get close to her, or flirt even, she'll act coy or dismissive, depending on attraction. She's a slight bit superficial in that way, but for good reason. She's not one to lose her temper, always with grace. A perfect lady, for a less than perfect suitor. Perhaps there is something underneath all that glacier'd ice?

By the arranged marriage Luka Winter and Larisa Noir, the heiress to the family name, Lorelei was born. Lorelei was always a free spirit from the moment she was born, but she was stifled, quickly forced into a live of ladylike behavior for the family. As early as three years old, Lorelei was forced to learn how to walk properly, and it only got worse from there. If she ever failed to be ladylike, ever truly shown that side in public, her mother would say, she would be disowned. A little harsh? Not just a little...

With her being the eldest of five sisters, Lorelei was forced into becoming the new heiress of the Noir family. As such, at the age of seven, her husband was picked out for her; a fourteen year old psychic boy named Andrei Stepanov. While Lorelei may have been against the idea, it was never her choice. Andrei on the other hand was always ecstatic... a little too much so. More than someone twice Lorelei's age should. While he showered a particular interest into Lorelei, Lorelei never returned that sentiment.

Lorelei would continued being groomed by the Noir family until her gift arose. Both of them, at once. Which immediately made her more valuable than her sisters, at least to her mother and father, who both considered Lorelei as an object and a means to further than power gain in society. Quickly, she was taught how to control these powers to perfection, as perfection led to strict punishment. Though she never got the hang of her beauty manipulation, her gift over ice had become beautiful in the same way that Larisa's was, though not strong as her own. Not yet, not until she wer eolder.

The next meeting with Andrei would be at the age of twelve, when Andrei was nineteen. Andrei had become prideful, abusive even in his own pride for being engaged to the beautiful Lorelei. While a younger Lorelei would rebuke this, due to her teachings, she nodded her head, and became almost subservient. However, the unfortunate thing was, whenever Lorelei did anything that offended Andrei, breathe wrong, sit improperly for a moment, or even said a word wrong, Andrei would begin to beat her.

This was the nature of their relationship. The sad truth is, Lorelei never grew the backbone to fight back. Not that it wasn't there, she just never had the will to fight back. To besmirch the family name was not something that was allowed, and the threats had been made long ago, instilled into the twelve-year-old Lorelei brain. Be the perfect heiress, or be worthless.

The next few years were spent as they always would. Abusive relationship that Lorelei could not get out of, hoping to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Constant lessons in perfection, to become a savant. Taught that the family was more important than her well being. The family was paramount, and something occured to Lorelei at the age of sixteen: she had never even seen her mother and father kiss before. And they always acted indifferent of one another. Deep inside, that was not what she wanted. She had the strength to grow, to be something more. She didn't believe herself to be a tool meant for the betterment of the family.

But what could she do?

Her coy demeanor decided to take form, as well as her cold demeanor. Her family made her jaded, and her fiancee only made her wish to gouge her own eyes out, and she bit her tongue. Every year, Andrei became more and more ugly, a disgusting sight to say the least that Lorelei came to dread; where her own beauty continued to grow. Andrei continued the abuse, and she became less and less tolerant over taking it.

Until finally, the day she became eighteen arrived. And she was to be wed. But there was a problem. Lorelei, crafty as she could be, decided to head to another school across the sea. To France, in fact, and decided it best for her to finish school before she was wed. While her parents believed that to be ill-advised, and Andrei decided to be patient since 'you belong to me, so not like you'll get with another man with those scars', Lorelei decided to go to college.

For five years of her life. Until she was twenty-three... and heard of the Starbound Initiative. Leaving Paris, France behind, she left immediately, not intending to contact her family, or her to-be-husband. Now, she lives in Australia, to get away from her family...

Skills and Weaknesses:
° Graceful
The perfect lady; the heiress to the Noir family fortune must have grace in all actions. She cannot look unsavory for even a moment, as she never knows who is watching, She walks proper, and if she had books on her head as she did, they would stay in place. To add to this, many of her actions just ooze grace, and as a captain, she intends to showcase to her squad, definitively.
° Coy
Oh yes, the shy and modest routine. She is neither shy nor modest, but she always keeps herself alluring; something that while not taught to her by her mother and father, she picked up. Sometimes it has been helpful to push away those she deems as unworthy of her, but other times it's her way to be playful with sociability. She loves talking to people, but it's clear she's acting.
° Beautiful
It shouldn't be a surprise that Lorelei has the beauty down to a T. It's one of her better traits, and she prides her appearance over many other things. After all, she can never look bad. Being the Noir heiress and all...

° Cold
She can often seem cold to others, and that's not only because her room usually has the AC cranked to high in the summer AND winter. Lorelei can be rather cold when speaking to people she doesn't like, and while she may seem cold to people she does like, there's stark contrast between cold and chill.
° Perfectionist
Ah, the worst of her weaknesses. Everything must be perfect for Lorelei. Perfection matters more than anything, as imperfection can be seen as a reason to lose the Noir family bloodline forever. Though the pressures stack on and on by generations, Lorelei is so much of a perfectionist that some have jokingly called her OCD at times. Which is one reason her beauty gift is never utilized as often as the ice.
° Superficial
Oh yeah. Maybe it was the Noir family that did this to poor, poor Lorelei, but due to their meddling, she has always considered looks to be paramount, as well as gifts in others. When a suitor comes, and their power is something like fire, she won't bother to get to know the potential casanova, she's out. Same vein, if someone had something useless to the family, she would never like someone romantically. She's just that kind of gal.

Gifts:
Cryokinesis: The Maiden of Ice, Lorelei has the same gift many of the Noir women have; power over ice and ice constructs. She is, herself, a being of ice, and because of this she has an immunity to cold environment, but a weakness to pyrokinesis and hotter weather to compensate. She can conjure ice to slide on underneath her feet, even if she's wearing shoes, and create ice sculptures. She can shatter them with a snap, and breathe a chilling ice storm upon her breath. Maiden of Ice, indeed.

Beauty Manipulation: The Noir family has always arranged their marriages to be optimal for the next generation; for Lorelei's birth, that was no different. A recessive gene in the father-side of the family allowed for the manipulation of beauty in itself; which in combat is rather useless. But for the Noir family, it meant that Lorelei could marry with much more powerful gifted people, and birth unimaginable potential. This manipulation, while lesser than the ice, allows Lorelei to give beauty to mostly anything. A flower? Easy. Her ice? Absolutely. Her movements? Almost mesmerizing, if she so desires it. But despite this, the manipulation can never capture pure beauty. In the same sense though, it works both ways. She can make things ugly. But never pure ugliness.
