★ Link Stäsus ★
Played by: The Legendary Sannin
Faceclaim: Elsword, Edward Grenore (Add)
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Weight and Height: 5'8" and 120 lbs
Appearance:
Occupation: Mechanic and Researcher..
Personality: Link is one who is always thinking about ways he can further increase his own potential and achieve his goals. He's a quiet person, only speaking when he feels the need to explain to someone how vastly inferior they are to him. Some would call Link selfish, and those people are correct. Link's very selfish, to the point where he really doesn't care what has to be done, he will do it if it increases his power. At the end of the day, he just wants to be left alone with his technology.
Link's thoughts on forming any friendship with anyone is non-existent. He's never been in an relationship before and due to the sheer amount of things he doesn't know about being in one, he isn't keen on finding out. He, however, doesn't feel the same way about his enemies. He is a firm believer in keeping your friends close (if you have them), and your enemies closer. People are better off not getting on his bad side. Link observes literally everything, and eventually he'll figure out what you hold dear and destroy it.
Despite his negative attitude towards life, Link is a straightforward and loyal person. If someone proves themselves able and capable of either furthering potential or just simply knows what they're doing, Link will follow them if he must with no further questions spoken.
Background: Enter Link, a super intelligent teenager living in a place he doesn't care knowing the name of. Adopted into a family of mechanics, Link quickly adapted to the family trade more so than his relatives, often spending day after day working on machines, weapons, to do his bidding. Link was fascinated with how much the world was starting to rely on technology, and confounded with those who saw the machines as a crutch, a weak link in the human race. After just months of isolation in his room, he came to his own compromise. He'd learn all he could about the cyber world, with no heed for what was taking place around him. Link had been built a machine to give him the perception he needed... at the cost of valuable time...
Because of this carelessness, he led his family to their demise as a lightning storm caused the machines in his house to explode, something that could have been stopped by Link with a simple lightning rod, should he hadn't been cooped up in the basement. Things only took a turn for the worse as all he lived with shunned him and looked down on him with bitter hate, they wanted him dead, and tried many times. Time after time, Link ran.
Eventually, Link grew tired of running, and settled down in a village where no soul knew his name. He had a new goal, a new purpose, to go back through time itself or find something to destroy the thing that caused his misery. A question peered at his mind, what did cause his misery? Was it misfortune, or was it something else entirely? Link didn't know, but he'd build something that did. All he needed was time...
Time wasn't something Link had, as the villagers soon learned of his dark past and drove him out, not until he made the realization that there truly was nothing he could do about his family's misfortune. Instead, as he walked away from the village, Link's ambitions changed yet again. What if, instead of trying to reverse his own misery, he was the sole one responsible for deciding if others experienced it in it's entirety or not? He'd decide who lived and who suffered. Who died and who cried. It was all possible, technology has never failed him before. Setting up his magnitude of machines he looked back at the village he left, and activated the tech he was working on during his stay. A dark aura of vile light formed around him as he was transported elsewhere... to the past. A goal he set out on a long time ago, but his goal this time was to stop the villagers from driving him out, just as an experiment. As he walked back to his former hideout, he found no one there; his calculations were incorrect. Driven with rage and irritation, Link decided if he couldn't get his way, no one could. Using up every single thing he learned from his time working with machines and dabbling in cybernetic space, Link destroyed the dimension he was in, all things perishing in the blast.
...
Link woke, sweat dropping from his head and his mind racing thousands of miles an hour. Yes, he lost valuable time, but gained so much more. He gained the insight he needed. The machine he been since built stood before him, steaming and broken. Removing the wires from his arms and head, he stood, looked around, and realized that during his small daydream, he made quite a mess. Walls were destroyed, he could sense literally everything going on... Link realized he witnessed just one of countless possible events that may happen in the future. If this small extent of his power could do that, destroy his house and worry his needy family... what else could it do?
Ignoring the shouting and screaming of his beloved family, Link made his way to the only place he knew of that would help him understand his natural talents more. The Starbound Initiative. A perfect opportunity to pursue his unknown goals, and his ultimate goal of becoming something far greater than any mortal has ever seen; the Ruler of Cyberspace. And so, as only a few minutes passed in reality, Link's story truly begins...
Skills and Weaknesses:
Skills:
* Extremely intelligent, can build complex machines with no help or guide.
* Loyal, when he bonds with someone, he has no plans to betray them; they're stuck with him... unless there's greater opportunity amidst...
* Agile, Link is quick and light on his feet, able to easily get from one place to another with minimal effort.
Weaknesses:
* Ruthless, Link doesn't know the meaning of the word "stop". If someone's down for the count, Link isn't finished until they're dust.
Gifts
Cybernetic Evolution
(Level 1 Primary)
Link has a very close bond with technology, because of this he has access to a TARDIS (time and relative dimension in space) called Cyberspace.
At level one, Cybernetic Evolution allows Link to summon his six small drones from Cyberspace to help him. Link cannot travel through Cyberspace; he is only aware of it's existence. The drones are controlled via Link's thoughts and can be used inside or outside of combat for many creative purposes. When not in use, they hover around him. Collectively, they cannot hold more than 150 lbs.
Transcendence
(Level 1 Secondary)
Link, with the help of his cybernetic drones, can use Transcendence to ascend to a higher level of power for a short amount of time. Link bends Cyberspace to his will, allowing him to hover in place and increase his agility by one tier at level one. While Transcendence is active, Link's eyes glows a dark purple color and the whites in his eyes become black.

* Weak. While not insanely weak or weaker than average, Link doesn't know the first thing when it comes to hand to hand anything. Instead, his sole focus remains on his abilities. Without them, Link is left very wide open."Nothing else matters."
