Faceclaim: King of Fighters, Terry Bogard
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Weight and Height: 220 lbs., 6' 2"
Appearance:
Austin is six-foot, two-inches tall with a thick, stalky build. He is muscular. While at one point he carried various tattoos and scars all over his body, they are no longer present. He has long, dirty blond hair that he either ties back, or lets hang. When it comes to his attire, he can be quite varied in some respects. But he favors a simple pair of slightly baggy jeans, a tank top of varying color and a jacket. A simple pair of white skate-shoes are usually on his feet, unless the weather calls for boots. His eyes are hazel and his hair is dark blonde.
Occupation:
Currently resides as a Captain, in terms of rank at the Institute. Besides that, he still runs Altitude Prime Executives, which is a construction management, manufacturing and distribution conglomerate originally funded by favors, legitimate investments and also 'dirty' money.
Personality:
Austin is a very open minded young man, who has grown up around shady people most of his life and had adapted to the environment he grew up in well. He had grown to enjoy conflict most of the time, but he rarely crossed the line and severely hurt anyone. Usually he is laid back, words laced with plenty of sarcasm or random insults directed toward anyone around him. He is rough around the edges due to the people who had raised him. Sometimes he shows his love by being a little brutal towards his friends. However when you gain trust and friendship, loyalty is what he holds highest among his priorities. 'Knuckles' will always have your back whenever you need him and he will rarely ever betray anyone, for any reason.
Background:
Austin grew up in the midwest for the first four years he was alive, but his mother split because of his father's dedication to his motorcycle club, 'The Apex Warriors' MC. Abandoned by his mother, the child was destined to grow up and follow his father's footsteps. And shortly after his mother left, Austin's father was tasked with starting a charter of the MC in New York City.
Within a few months the club had began thriving, and within a few years it had become a force to be reckoned with. Barry 'BigBoss' Huntsman had become a name to be recognized. He made a lot of money through many ventures, which ultimately brought a lot of violence into his son's life. By the age of nine he had seen at least three people die in front of his eyes. Austin had many scars from his younger years.
However shortly after Austin turned 14, his father was dead. He had never learned the full details of what happened that day, but from then on he was raised by his father's best friend, Rick. Most people knew him as 'Ashfault', a pun intended toward the man who had a nasty scar covering the right side of his face from a dive he took on his bike years ago. Rick had become the new president of the MC, and Austin's new cartaker.
Austin had a lot of trouble dealing with his father's loss. He ended up taking his anger and frustration out on a lot of different people, even those who did nothing to deserve it. While he was never a good student to begin with, his grades suffered even more and he was held back in school a year. However freshman year, he was set and enrolled in a new high-school. PHS#552 Didn't know what was about to hit 'em.
--------
A lot had happened since Austin Huntsman had attended #552. Over the years he had endured and faced many challenges that others might not have been so lucky to survive. Eventually though, a lot of the fire that fueled him had started to fade as he began to redirect his attention toward building something for himself in the future. The culmination of his dreams had materialized into the form of his own business, Altitude Prime Executives, which deals largely with construction related materials and assets. Eventually, it grew into a formidable company that had secured several important contracts and even had a hand in helping out with the building of the Astraeus Institute and the facilities surrounding it. It was then a new opportunity arose and Austin would reach out to grasp for it, as he

It was strange how life could change so rapidly. One moment it could be heading in one direction and then with little warning flip, forcing one to reevaluate and adjust to the new climate. What Austin thought was his future, would simply end up another page in his personal journal. Be it failure on his part or that of the one he had promised himself to, Austin had long ago learned to take a hit, roll with the blow and keep on moving forward. It had been rough at first, however he had many ways to keep himself busy. He had requested to step away from his responsibilities at the Institute and switched gears to fixate upon his booming business and the last of what he could call family, his little half-brother Nathan.
There was still much to look forward to, at least that was what Austin had convinced himself of. He was doing his best to keep himself together, not only for the progress he had made in recent months but for Nate as well. It wouldn't do any good to fall to pieces, he couldn't allow it. So he pushed onward, harder and harder. Finally, whatever sadness and grief that might have clouded his mind, was brief. Things happened. If you didn't learn to accept it and grow from it then you would drown in the depths of the tide.
Austin Huntsman had a destiny, he still believed. He was a fighter, in far more ways than one. He had seen and experienced a lot when he was younger, physically and emotionally, than many others his age. The only ones who could relate were the ones that had been neck deep in the shit with him. Many names came to mind, few were still around. Those he considered friends had fallen to the wayside. He felt it best to sever ties so he hibernated, to rest and to heal while he focused upon the one he had sworn responsibility for. However, as time usually did when you let it, the wounds scabbed and then healed over completely.
In some ways you could say he had lost his true self, the goals that had been pushing him forward for years, his purpose. Those things had revitalized, a new measure of self-importance and the urge to grow the legacy he had started to build. And now, there was a new frontier. Space. He had heard that there would be a ship leaving soon for the stars and Austin would make an important call to Luca, in order to be added onto the flight list at last minute. It would be a new experience, a new opportunity. While he would miss him, Nathan would be well taken care of in his absence. Austin was ready to take to the stars and see what fate had in store for him.

Gifts:
Primary:
Bloodletting
Blood manipulation or Hemokinesis if you would prefer is a rare and macabre ability that allows the user to manipulate their own blood. They possess the ability to manipulate this blood however they wish in a form of telekinesis, bending and shaping it to their will to create objects such as swords. shields or appendages. This is done through a crystallization of the blood being used, the liquid hardening into the shape it was molded into with the possibility of returning to its liquid form at the users will. This crystallization may not be found in the creation of objects like whips.
100 post upgrade: Sanguine Road
Austin is now able to use blood as a medium to travel between locations. So long as there is a pool of blood big enough for Austin to squeeze through, he is able to transport himself through it as long as his body is making contact with another pool of blood. This ability can be used for offensive, defensive and utility purposes and when he enters the 'Sanguine Road' it is like he is forced out the other side at an accelerated pace beyond how he entered.
Second:
Vindictive Reciprocation
When Austin suffers damage at the hand of another, his body possesses a natural ability to react to the blow. The blood within him swells, flowing quickly throughout his system, before focusing into whatever limb is chosen to strike with. His body temporarily shifts at a molecular level, allowing him retaliate against his opponents and output damage equal to his own strength and enhanced by the attackers.
He is unable to maintain it for long periods of time, so he generally only uses it in short bursts. When activated his veins darken to a blackish-blue and become very prominent upon visible skin until the power is canceled.
