Amaryllis stands at a decent height for her age, with long legs and a slim frame to match. She’s struggled with being underweight for most of her life, between her background and her naturally fast metabolism. Growing out her hair as per her younger sister’s request, her violet locks tend to be naturally straight and currently falls down her back and past her waist; occasionally she’ll wear her hair tied up in a long ponytail, held together by a white ribbon - if she has her hair down, the ribbon can be seen tied to her wrist, having it on her at all times. Her navy blue eyes are spaced evenly, often coming across as sharp and focused underneath her bangs. Her small nose and rosy lips frame her face, her skin pale without the slightest hint of blush.

Her clothes are designed for comfort, not style. From her limited income, she shops at the cheapest bargain stores she can find, her go-to outfit being a long-sleeved button-up and dark pants. She dresses modestly, sometimes wearing more clothes than what seems necessary due to her naturally cold skin. A soft frown is typically present across her sharp features.

Amaryllis is, above all else, a loner. She only gets along with others to achieve an end result, not one to look for friendship or seek out other types of relationships. She keeps to herself, but despite this she is not soft spoken; if provoked, she’ll defend what she believes is right to her dying breath. Her opinions are strong and, at times, misguided due to her background. She believes everyone has a right to live, despite their actions. This doesn’t make her a pushover - she’s simply never killed a man before, and never plans to. “There’s always a way around death” is her common motto.

Growing up with the nickname “ice queen”, Amaryllis is often described by her peers as cold and alone. She speaks little, and when she does it’s to the point, never seen having a casual conversation. Many are intimidated by her cold demeanor, her not bothering to correct the buzz of gossip around her. Despite her outward nature, she is far from cruel and does, in fact, have a heart. If anyone dares to speak with her, she remains polite unless threatened, being raised on the etiquette of manners.

There is only one person she holds dear to her - her younger sister. If anyone else were to weasel their way through the cracks of her hard exterior, they’d be rewarded with her fierce loyalty and protective nature. She refuses to let anything happen to those she cares about…not again.



★ Background ★
Amaryllis Coll was born under trying circumstances. Her mother was never meant to get pregnant, and her father, upon hearing the news, insisted for a son. When the news came about her gender, her father’s disappointment caused grief to her mother. They tried again for years after her birth, finally reproducing another pregnancy four years later only to get the same results. Another girl would be born. Her father left the family after that, leaving a grief-stricken mother who learned to resent men.

At a young age, she became aware of her abilities. Upon predicting events that happened around her, her mother grew fanatic at the idea that her firstborn was meant to bring their small family out of darkness, often demanding her to perform for others on a regular basis; if she refused to comply, she would be beaten to show off her regeneration ability instead. Her mother insisted there was more than what she was showing her, constantly putting her to the test and only bruising her instead - both inside and out.

Growing up with a single mother, Amaryllis was quick to learn that she was in charge of taking care of the house and her younger sister, being both the cook, maid and, at times, parent. She didn’t mind, loving taking care of her sister - the only person that truly mattered to her. She believed that if she, herself, couldn’t have a normal life, her sister could.

The year she turned twelve, she began having constant visions of her sister in a hospital bed. With no context as to how or when it happens, she frantically warned her mother who brushed it off as paranoia. A month after the visions began, the family was in a major car accident. Amaryllis was told she was lucky to be alive upon waking up at the hospital, the doctors baffled of her little injuries. Her mother was fine as well, while her sister, she soon discovered, was put in a comatose state from the incident. Her mother insisted her vision brought this upon them, and soon came to resent her gifts. Amaryllis never spoke of them to her mother again after that.

Despite her silence to her mother, she was very much trying to hone her natural gifts. It wasn’t long before she learned of Astraeus Institute, using the last of her money to move herself in the area and learn more about her gifts. She hopes to one day be able to predict future events with context behind them, preferably the future of her sister.

Amaryllis has a high IQ for her age, always excelling at the top of her class in school. She’s more book smart and less street smart, having been a tutor for other students since a young age in order to produce an income for herself. She’s very sharp and perceptive, never needing someone to explain a concept more than once.

Amaryllis has never had to ask her mother for money, always finding different chores to do for peers and neighbors to earn her own. She’s now a professional tutor, hoping to one day take it a step further and become a teacher. She lives alone now, and is extremely tight with the income she earns.

Her sister is the only person occupying her heart at the moment. If someone else were to take occupancy, they would learn how fiercely dedicated she is to keeping the people close to her. She doesn’t settle, and she always put those close to her first.

- Ice Queen -
Known as the ice queen, she has a cold demeanor that’s difficult to penetrate. She prefers to keep to herself, and anyone that approaches her is usually met with a cold shoulder. It’s nothing personal, but she doesn’t like to waste her time on pleasantries with others she cares nothing about.

With her regeneration gift, Amaryllis has learned she can get away with getting hurt to a degree. Because of this, she often cares little about the consequences of her physical actions, assuming she’ll simply heal. This has also raised her endurance level.

With no friends, no high-level associations, and essentially no family, Amaryllis is left with no social connections. She doesn’t explore the outside world much, only associating with those she needs to.
